Repair / Condition Report

At 4099 hours, the Cat dealer REBUILT the torque, transmission and differential assembly.

A NEW differential/bevel gear set was installed along with a NEW oil cooler and transmission pump.

Transmission was bench tested after the rebuild.

At 5602 hours, the Cat dealer completed the following due to an early hour failure of a camshaft lobe:

Removed the nose cone.

Removed the engine and sent it in to a reman center.

Installed a NEW cylinder head.

Installed a NEW camshaft.

Installed NEW crank and rod bearings.

Inspected the engine oil pump.

Installed NEW rocker arm shafts.

Reassembled the engine.

Set the valve lash and injector timing.

Dyno tested the engine.

Engine was then re-installed in the machine.

Nose cone was re-installed as well using NEW pins and bearings. 

Following are the repairs and servicing completed by Marcel Equipment Limited:

Stripped complete machine for powerwashing.

Performed complete operational and visual inspections.

Engine oil filter was cut open and checked for contaminates and it was clean.

Transmission filter was cut open and checked and it was clean.

Powertrain and transmission strainers as well as the magnetic screens were all clean.

Hydraulic filter was also checked and it was clean.

Changed the fuel filters.

Checked the final drive oils and plugs and they were clean.

Inspected the equalizer bar joints and they were tight.

Inspected the engine belts and pullies.

Replaced an engine belt.

Replaced the coolant site glass and rad cap.

Updated the exhaust stack.

Installed a NEW transmission input seal.

Installed a NEW torque converter output seal.

Resealed the torque convertor outlet valve.

Repaired the a/c condenser unit.

Repaired the window wiper pivots.

Replaced hoses as required.

Load tested and serviced the batteries and they were all good.

Checked all grease points and greased machine.

Checked all lights, gauges, etc. for proper operation.

Repaired the blade joints as required using NEW pins and bushings.

Performed the following pressure checks to ensure they were within OEM specifications:

- Brake pressure

- Transmission pump pressure

- Torque inlet pressure

- Torque outlet pressure

- Transmission lube pressure

- Flywheel lube pressure

- Steering pressure

- Charge pressure

- Implement pressure

- Engine oil pressure

- Boost pressure

- Fan pressure and speed
