Repair / Condition Report

At 9142 hours, the following work was completed to the unit.

Due to high blow-by the following work was completed:

Engine Rebuild:

Engine was removed and stripped down to block.

Head was sent out for rebuilding.

Crankshaft was sent out for polishing.

NEW bottom end bearings were installed.

Pistons were re-ringed and NEW liners were installed.

NEW injectors sleeves were installed in the head.

NEW water pump was installed.

NEW turbo charger was installed.

Engine oil pump was inspected.

Any required sensors were replaced.

All NEW belts were installed.

While the engine was out the torque convertor was rebearinged and resealed.

Radiator was removed and rad cores were washed out.

NEW pins and bushings were installed in the nose cone.

NEW coolant was installed.

All engine pressures/specs were verified and are within OEM specifications.

This is now a work ready unit. 

The following servicing and repairs were completed at 7705 hours and unit was serviced every 250 hours since new.

This tractor was powerwashed, serviced and checked over.

Engine oil filter was cut open and checked for contaminates, it was clean.

Transmission filter and suction strainer were both clean.

The hydraulic filter was also clean.

Both final drive oil levels were good and oils were clean.

Engine high idle was checked and it was within Caterpillar specifications.

Torque converter stall speed was checked and is also within Caterpillar specifications.

Pivot shaft oil levels were good.

NEW track frame cannon seals were installed on both sides.

Checked the pilot accumulator pressure.

Checked the transmission accumulator pressure.

Checked the lights, wipers, heater and air conditioning for proper operation.

Replaced a leaky hose at the hydraulic control valve.

Repaired the blade float system.

Installed a NEW radio.

Installed NEW angle cylinder mount bearings.

Installed NEW bearings in the lift cylinder mounting.

Resealed both lift cylinders.

Resealed the blade tilt cylinder.

Installed 6 NEW Cat reman fuel injectors.

All miscellaneous items needing repair were completed.
