Repair / Condition Report

Upon purchase inspection, we completed the following:

All covers and guards were removed and this machine was then powerwashed.

Transmission and hydraulic filters were also clean.

Engine had a miss and was low on power.

We checked both differentials and planetary oils for any signs of wear or steel particles. They were clean.

We checked the center articulation and it had some movement (see repairs below).

We also checked the rear axle oscillation and it was good.

At 12,462 hours, $125,000 was spent which included the following:

Engine was tuned up and included NEW injectors, NEW water pump, NEW exhaust manifold, NEW turbo and valve adjustment.

Torque converter was REBUILT using all NEW bearings and seals.

Transmission/transfer case was REBUILT using all NEW bearings, seals, clutch discs and plates as needed.

NEW bearings and seals were installed in the axle trunnions.

Steering cylinders were resealed and NEW pins and bearings were installed.

NEW hydraulic implement pump was installed. 

Following are the repairs completed by Marcel Equipment Limited at 15,100 Hours:

Complete Engine Overhaul including:

- NEW Cat Reman cylinder packs installed.

- All NEW Cat bottom end bearings were installed.

- Resealed front cover and all pumps on the cover.

- Installed NEW bearings in the front gear train.

- Installed a NEW Cat Reman cylinder head.

- Installed Cat REBUILT fuel injectors and turbo.

- Rebearinged the tensioner.

- Pressure tested and cleaned the engine oil cooler.

- Installed a REBUILT engine oil pump.

- Radiator was removed, disassembled, cleaned, resealed and re-installed.  

 

- Installed NEW transmission mounts.

- Installed NEW pins and bearings in the cooling assembly hinges.

- Replaced required powertrain hoses.

- Replaced required hydraulic hoses.

- Serviced and repaired the main electrical panel.

- Installed NEW pins and bearings in the lift cylinder.

- Split machine at articulation hitch.

- Line bored the lower rear bores.

- Installed NEW pins, bearings and seals in the articulation hitch.

- Resealed both steering cylinders.

- Installed all NEW pins and bearings in the steering cylinders.

- Serviced the batteries, load tested and cleaned the connections.

- Replaced transmission hoses as required.

- Replaced hydraulic hoses as required.

- Repaired grease lines as required.

- Reconditioned the cab as required.

- Removed and cleaned the evaporator and blower assemblies.

- Line bored the front frame blade bores.

- Line bored the blade bores.

- Completed welding repairs on the blade.

- Reconditioned the air conditioning system and installed a NEW dryer.

- Checked and repaired all lights and switches.

Verified the following pressures against Caterpillar specifications:

- Implement pressure

- Pilot pressure

- Steering pressures

- Steering standby pressures

- Brake pressures

- Fan speed

- Transmission pressures

- Torque pressures

- Engine pressures

Completed other miscellaneous repairs as required.

This unit has been completely sandblasted, primed and painted using quality products and NEW decals have been applied.
