Repair / Condition Report

This unit was under a Total Maintenance and Repair Contract with the local Caterpillar dealer from new to 20,000 hours.

A CAT Certified Powertrain Rebuild was completed by the Cat dealer at 12,400 hours as part of the contract.

At that time, machine was REBUILT from front to back and over $272,000.00 was spent. This REBUILD included all powertrain components, axles, hydraulic pumps and motors, all hoses, lines and cylinders. Once this machine reached the end of the contract in 2012 at 20,000 hours, the contractor kept the machine as a backup unit.

Marcel Equipment Limited completed the following:

Engine oil filter was cut open and checked for contaminates. It was clean.

Transmission filter was cut open and checked and it was clean.

Hydraulic filter was cut open as well and it was clean.

Checked the torque converter stall speed and it was within Caterpillar specifications.

Checked all the transmission pressures and they were all within Caterpillar specifications.

Checked all engine pressures and they were within Caterpillar specifications.

Cleaned the evaporator and heater cores.

Checked the articulation and it was tight.

Checked the rear axle oscillation and it was tight.

Installed NEW batteries.

Installed NEW air conditioning hoses.

Resealed the starter mount.

Checked the u-joints and they were good.

Resealed the cover on the transfer case.

Linebored the front frame blade mounts.

Resealed the left and right steering cylinders.

Installed NEW steering pins and bushings on the rod end.

Installed NEW wheel seals on the front axle.

REBUILT the fuel/relay/breaker panels.

Changed 2 front brake lines.

Installed 2 NEW wiper motors.

Photos will be updated once the cosmetic repairs are completed and machine has been and sandblasted, primed, painted and detailed.

This unit is now work ready.
