Repair / Condition Report

Upon arrival to our yard, we removed the covers and guards and powerwashed and checked over the unit.

Engine oil filter was cut open and checked for contaminates, it was clean.

Hydraulic filter was cut open and it was clean.

Both differential oil levels were good and oils were nice and clean.

Transmission filter and suction strainer had some metal flakes in them.

Following is a list of repairs presently being completed in our shop:

Due to the flakes found in the transmission filter; the powertrain including engine, transmission, torque converter and transfer case were removed as one unit and the following repairs were completed:


While the engine was out of the machine we took the opportunity to roll in NEW standard Cat main, rod and thrust bearings.

Installed a NEW CAT rear crankshaft seal.

Removed and inspected the engine oil pump.

Completed engine valve set.

Resealed exhaust manifold.


The flakes found were from the planetary thrust washer.  

Transmission was completely dismantled, washed and inspected. Complete CAT gasket, seal and bearing kit was installed.

Torque Converter:

Completely dismantled, inspected and installed a CAT bearing and seal kit.

Transfer Case:  

Completely dismantled, inspected and installed a CAT bearing and seal kit.

Rear Axle:

Removed the axle and installed NEW CAT oscillation bushings and seals.


Resealed the right and left steering cylinders.

NEW bearings and pins installed on the barrel end of the steering cylinders.

NEW bearings installed on the blade lift cylinder yoke.

Other Miscellaneous Repairs:

Cleaned and checked the batteries and connections.

Removed the rad assembly and sent it out for cleaning and pressure testing.

Installed NEW rad core seals.

Parking brake was REBUILT using NEW shoes.

U-Joints were all checked.

Installed NEW fan bearings, shaft and belts.

REBUILT the joystick control.

This unit will soon be sandblasted, primed, painted and detailed in our painting facilities. Photos will be updated at that time.
